Become Princess of the Day With the Right Tiara

The literal crowning touch of your wedding day could very well be the tiara worn upon your head. This stunning accessory may come in an array of shapes and sizes, merely sprinkled with glittering gems or bathed in Australian crystal. Often, brides may be blinded by the shine of the ultimate bridal tiara, towering high above her hair, but it is important to carefully consider which will compliment your gown and face rather than just overshadow it.

It is always best to have your gown picked out first. Should the bridal gown have a more simple and classic feel, a tiara garnished with dozens of crystals will unintentionally take the attention away from the full ensemble. Rather, have the bridal gown's sparkle or embroideries match the tiara's style, keeping a happy medium between the crown and dress so neither steals all of the attention. Likewise, it should also seem as though it harmonizes with any jewelry worn instead of competing against it.
A bride may already have her dream hairdo in mind the moment an engagement ring is placed on her finger and may not want to adjust. Bridal tiaras are created the not only compliment the gown, but the hairstyle as well. If your hair is shorter in length, try choosing a tiara that won't require a lot of pins to hold it in place. In this case, the bride may want to consider a pair of combs or headband which can work with almost any hairstyle. Should the bride decide to wear her hair in a magnificent bun or other upswept styles, a bridal ring or backpiece may offer the perfect look that she desires.
The shape of your face will also come into play when choosing the right hair accessory. For example, a bride with a long face will not want to choose a tiara that is tall as this will only add to the length. Likewise, a bride with a shorter face will want to do the opposite. Brides with a more round and fuller face will enjoy the effects of a tiara with a peak as this can give the illusion of a longer face.
When shopping for a gown, most shops will already have ideas in mind on which bridal tiaras will compliment the gown and can also provide advice on how placing the proper pieces together can turn you into a stunning image.
