Like any other speeches, a wedding speech should have a beginning, middle and end part. For best man speeches, never choose to go impromptu unless you are a very good speaker and you can think on your feet. Instead, plan ahead of time by listing your ideas about the bride and groom. You can share about the views and opinions of others about their union, about their shared beliefs and passions and what you personally think of their marriage.

The best man can also recognize and express encouraging traits of the couple upon starting the wedding speech. If you want to walk quickly down memory lane with the wedding toast, then the best way to select the memory is to those one that include your experience with both the bride and groom. You can also think of any interesting anecdotes about the couple.

Basically, you should give a wedding toast that is warm, personal, and quick. If you're a natural comedian, this should be easy for you. If you're not, keep it plain and simple. Even if you have the desire to entertain, keep in mind that your words are for the bride and groom, and the wedding speech will be remembered forever. Puzzled about what to say? The Internet is full of good quotes that you can use as inspiration or even the exact words to start your best man wedding speech.

Never give a wedding speech when you are drunk. Also, go to the bathroom before giving a toast to straighten your hair and clothes, so as to have a good appearance in videos and photos.

It is not appropriate to mention past girlfriends, boyfriends or spouses in a wedding speech. Do not mention the cost of the wedding gifts or the wedding itself. Avoid talking about plans for the future the couple may have been shared to you - such as pregnancy and children. Also, avoid making jokes about the upcoming honeymoon.

Wedding speech enders should be good and optimistic. Express all the goodwill in the room for the new couple to have a happy, healthy, and prosperous married life. The toast is done at this point where champagne glasses are lifted and salutes are made to each other.
